Bob's love
for creating probably stems back to his early
acting days as a founding member of two southwest
premier Improv groups 4 out of 5 Doctors created by
Ed Yeager (producer/writer) and Tom Blackwood
(writer) and Lone Star Comedy created by Randy
Bennett (Former Groundlings Alumni). Back then he
honed his comedic acting and writing skills,
although on the serious side, a degree in Theater
from the University of North Texas didn’t hurt
either. These acting skills have been seen in the
many commercials, corporate videos, live events and
movies, all of these acting gigs happened because
he is represented by The Mary Collins
Agency
As a freelance director, whether it is for a commercial, corporate short form project or web series, Bob brings his creativity, communication skills and proficiency to get the job done in a timely manner.
Bob has always been fascinated with digital video technology and the Internet. He was an early adopter of Final Cut Pro, which is now used by studios and production companies around the world. Bob is a hands-on kind of guy whose first love was the cinema and still is whether film or digital. He is constantly creating storylines and web series ideas for potential clients.
For the niche market of motorsports he co-create Motorrev.tv, which hosted user videos and in-house created web series PitBabes, two young ladies learned about racing in Karts, plus other event videos for the site.
Bob helped produce and edit Janine Turner's directorial debut short film, "Trip in a Summer Dress" shot here in the North Texas area.
To stay in touch with the generation-y crowd he has used his past experiences to help train new actors for camera acting at KD College (Acting Conservatory).
Bob Coonrod is a freelance director and also owner of the production company, Hinterland Pictures on the northwest edge of Dallas in Flower Mound, TX.
